“Measurement-based care (MBC) is the systematic administration of symptom rating scales and the use of results to drive clinical decision making at the level of the individual patient” (Fortney,JC, et al. 2016). Recent research shows the superiority of MBC compared to usual standard care (USC) in improving patient outcomes. A recent, blind-rater and randomized trial by Guo et al. (2015) showed that MBC is more effective than USC both in achieving response and remission and in reducing the time to response and remission.
